What I was wearing the other day. This wall works so well on photos, really love its structure. Wearing one of my favorite coats, really love the length of it. Also wearing my newest black shoes, bought them some months ago already but never really wore them. What do you think? xx
First of all; happy new year! Hope you had some great days with your friends and family. I certainly had some nice days, I also still have some images of the gifts I received during the last week of Advent. So here a photo with the last items :) xx
Still on the hunt for that perfect gift for your father, brother or boyfriend? Maybe one of the above gifts is exactly what you are looking for. You can find the items here:
Of course it is less hard to find something for women (at least generally speaking). Nonetheless I created a little list with some gift ideas, maybe for yourself? Find the objects here:
Because it always turns out to be really difficult to buy Christmas gifts for men, I decided to create a mens gift guide for you.
But I approached it slightly different than usual. Instead of looking for nice stuff online I decided to search within the walls of our home to create a gift guide. I went through Mart's drawers, bags, closet, cabinet, etc. to find all those items that are - according to him - perfect to give.
So hereby I provide you with a table full with gift worthy items for men. From top to bottom, left to right: Analog camera, Sneakers - the complete guide book, One Piece cap, Another Escape magazine, bygitte cable loop, Scotch & Soda Barfly perfume, Sabon peeling, Toni&Guy sea-salt spray, L'oreal MEN Expert vita lift, Hema alarm, Victorinox Pocket knife, Flashlight, H&M tie, Beard book, Acne cap, Apple iPad mini, wooden ruler, HAY scissors, How to tie the knot print. Last Sunday we had our housewarming party because we moved to a new house two months ago. In those two months we did a lot of building (demolishing the old kitchen, stripping the whole place, letting my uncles re-installing the piping, plastering the walls and placing a new kitchen), sanding, painting, refurnishing etc. Finally we had everything sort of in place and it started to look like a real home, so we decided to celebrate that fact by giving a housewarming party. 1. We got lots of great gifts to decorate our new home with. My cousin is very creative and has her own shop where she sells items she has made and items she has smartened up. My mother gave me another marble house from Bloomingville, my grandmother gave us candles and my aunt gave me money so we could buy something ourselves and she also gave us a little packet with a towel and nature soap.
2. Beautiful flowers and a wooden spoon which had a gift card for Cook&co tied to it.
3 & 4. Lots of cards with lovely words, gift cards and money. Sometimes even accompanied by beautiful flowers!
5. The Hema gift cards we got from our aunt and uncle have already been spent ;) We bought two new pillows with graphic patterns in grey tones.
6. More gifts, cards and a delicious pie assortment from the famous bakery Koekela in Rotterdam.
Thank you everyone for coming and of course for everything you brought with you (which was totally unnecessary, but also really sweet). xx

1. Wrapping Christmas presents for Xmas at my boyfriends place. Love to wrap everything in different wrapping papers and use strings and ribbons to top it off.
2. Some of the presents I got at our place. A beautiful blanket, gift cards for both Hema and Dille & Kamille (Dutch shopping mall and an shop with beautiful living stuff), French Vogue and a box Merci chocolates. Mart gave me a Chanel eyeshadow and mascara, because he knew I was in need of a refill :)
3. Gifts I got at Marts place. This beautiful wooden slice of an oak tree, soap, apron and oven glove. We also got a restaurant gift card and a few bottles of beer and wine.
4 & 5. We went to Sonsbeek Park this morning, for a quick walk. I was wearing my amazing velvet headband I got at Bartinki.
6. The presents under our Christmas tree. My parents and brothers came over to eat dinner with us and Mart and I bought everyone some presents!
Can't believe 2013 is almost over. I'm busy preparing a recap of the outfits I wore this year. How was your year? xx
What I was wearing yesterday. Loved how the sun finally showed again after a week filled with rainy days. My favorite jeans paired with my most worn booties form a great pair I think. xx
Leather gilet: Maison Scotch | Shirt: Harley Davidson | Organic top: Hema | Jeans: thrifted Levi's | Booties: Acne | Belt: Scotch & Soda | Necklace: Thrifted
Finally some sun in the Netherlands. These photos were taken yesterday. I totally enjoyed the first real signs of spring presenting itself in the form of some lovely sunshine. This made it possible to take some photos without a coat for once. Still love these Miista shoes, haven't worn them in ages. How is the weather at your home country, any signs of spring yet?
What I was wearing today. It's still cold and snowing every now and then, but luckily the snow doesn't stick to the ground. We both had a day off so we went to the centre to drink some coffee and stroll around. After eating dinner we went to the cinema with friends. Perfect lazy day if you ask me!
