Furry friends

Ph, Private

The three of us decided to all put on a furcoat and pose for the photo. They belong to me and definitely deserve to go out more often. I love vintage furs, but unfortunately it's not often that cold in Holland. But maybe Marlot and Mascha can help me to wear them, cause don't they look utterly gorgeous in those furries.

Dinner with friends

Ph, Private

Yesterday evening Marlot and Mascha came by to have dinner at our place. Marlot desperately wanted Belgium food so I searched the internet for some inspiration. We had toast with steak tartar and tasty tom tomatoes filled with a shrimp mix. As main course I made a chicken-leek brandy stew with Flemish fries. We also ate a dessert, namely a Liege waffle with red fruit and vanilla ice-cream.

Love the Starbucks mugs, these were a gift from Marlot. Can't wait to use it to drink some hot chocolate while watching old episodes of Gossip Girl.

Baseball jacket: Maison Scotch | Knit: H&M | Beaded gilet: Maison Scotch | Collar: Maison Scotch
Jeans: Acne | Roundscarf: Asos | Shoes: Clark Originals

My outfit. Love this leather sleeved jacket, it is a really versatile item which I didn't expected when I bought it. Still like this goldcoated knit, can't believe it was just 10 euros. I went to the Uni today and had a public transport delay of 2,5 hours, so my trip to Amsterdam took more than 3 hours. Fortunately all problems were solved at the time I headed back home.

Kate Moss photocalender

Ph, Private

A while ago, online photo service website Pixum asked me if I would like to review a product of them. Pixum is a website which offers a wide range of services, you can share online photo albums, create photo books with online available software, create fun photo gifts, print photos in different sizes and of course create your own photo calender! When I got the opportunity to test Pixums' services, I decided to create a fashionable photo calender. It's really easy to create your own calender and you can choose from different pre-settings, find them over here.

The calender I had made, starring Kate Moss during the last two decades, is quite clean and simple. A3 size wall calender, glossy photo paper quality, great basic designs and the same neat layout on every page. I really like the fact that you can pick your own start date, so it doesn't necessarily have to start in January. They offer great quality and service for inexpensive products. They also have an international site and ship to almost every European country, so hurry up and order/create some personal Christmas presents at Pixum!

2. Eating fried rice with egg roll and chicken satay, while reading the newest Vogue Nederland.
3. More food, shoarma sandwich with fried potatoes.
4 & 5. Shooting some photos with Vera in Sonsbeek park in Arnhem. As you can see it was quite foggy, it resulted in mysterious shots.
6. Typical Dutch food, vegetables, meat and potatoes.
Marlot, have you seen the three different plates?

Vintage Peacock Dress

Ph, Private

Leather jacket: Dept | Dress: Vintage | Leather trousers: Humanoid | Boots: Acne
Snood: Asos | Earrings: Asos | Belt: Scotch&Soda

What I was wearing yesterday. Decided to put on this amazing vintage dress. It has an amazing print, namely peacocks, squared patterns and more deep-blue and golden figures. I love the fifties low neckline with wide round collar. The sculptural cutting creates a frame for my body and the best part, it fits like a glove. Sorry for the blurry haze, but it's already getting dark around 4.30 PM lately.

Ksubi wanted

 Ph, Ksubi

Knit jumper red - Chrome tank top - Knit jumper navy
Stretch leather pants - Canvas and leather anorak - Skinny checked pants

Love all items above. I don't know if you guys are familiar with the Australian brand Ksubi, it's a very unique characteristic brand. As they describe it themselves, it's a brand with conceptual feats, tropical fashion aesthetic and signature denims. They sell men's fashion, women's fashion, denim and a kustom and eye-wear collection as well.

Black nun

Ph, Private

Leather jacket: Dept | Blazer: Modström | Lace dress: Vintage | Collar: COS | Necklace: Asos |
Snood: Asos | Belt: Scotch&Soda | Booties: Supertrash | Bag: Zara

Today's look. I'm dressed fully black except for the white collar. I feel like a sort of nun, but definitely in a slightly modern way. I mean I have never seen nuns wearing lethal weapons around there neck. I guess they wouldn't choose to wear shoes with chains on top either, although it's hard to verify because they mostly wear full skirts. So just guessing.

Fashion Illustrator: Ignasi Monreal

Today I came across the website of an amazing young talented fashion illustrator. It's a Spanish drawer who studied comic and illustration for four years, then he went to Madrid to follow a BA in Communication followed by a MA in Total Design. His work has been published in magazines like Harper's Bazaar Spain, Vogue Spain and V Magazine Spain. I like the different make up looks on Gemma Ward and the drawings of the most iconic Alexander McQueen pieces. Love stunning Daphne Groeneveld with the butterflies/bugs. He's so talented!

Square wintercoat

Ph, Private

Coat: COS | Top: Samsoe & Samsoe | Leather skirt: Thrifted | Boots: Thrifted | Bag: Zara
Necklaces: Asos | Scarf: Asos

What I was wearing, time to take the real wintercoats out of the back of my closet again. It was quite cold the last days so I think the winter is really coming soon. I'm still so happy with this bag, the perfect black bag. The floral scarf is a recent buy, showed it before in this post, which is perfect for this weather. It's made of a sheer cotton so not too much of a scarf to wear in these days.

Bamboo organizers

Ph, Private

Bought these bamboo organizers at the Tiger. Was looking for some organizers for a while, but everything I liked so far was kinda expensive. So I was really glad when I found these amazing ones yesterday. Love the simplicity. The glass pen organizer is a sort of vase I bought on a flea market a while ago.

Bicycle proof

Ph, Private

Leather jacket: Dept | Knit: Thrifted | Skirt: H&M Trend | Boots: Acne | Necklace: Asos

What I was wearing yesterday, a bicycle proof skirt. Most skirts aren't really appropriate to ride a bicycle with. This one is tight enough to stay in place. Love this knit, don't wear it enough though. Probably because it's quite warm. I'm totally in love with the sort of Scandinavian print/figures on it, would love to have a pair of tights or leggings with such a print. If you know were to find one, please tell me!

Customized swing bag

Ph, Private

Picked up this bag, made by the amazing Penny of Drops of Art. She gives second hand bags a new life. Check out her Facebook page to see more of her work. I love what she did with this basic burgundy colored shoulderbag. She turned it into an amazing one of a kind bag, inspired by swing style shoes. Do you like it?

Jewelry

Ph, Private

Another shot of the Asos jewelry I've already told you about. I'm not really an earring lover, but sometimes I give in. I saw so many beautiful earrings at Asos that I decided to order these three. The necklace is a recently addition to my huge necklace collection as well. It's a fringed leather necklace from Nelly. Do you wear a lot of jewelry?

DIY silver foil heeled boots

Ph, Private

What you'll need: An old pair of boots, silver metallic tape (hardware store), scissors, pattern paper, pencil.

1. I got an old pair of boots, because they were broken. He thought I might could do something with it, that's exactly what I did. First cut off the bootleg, turning them into ankle boots.
2. Use pattern paper to make a pattern for the heelcap.
3. Trace the pattern onto the silver foiltape and cut the shape. Paste the two pieces onto eachother.
4. Take off the back side of the tape, stick the tape onto the heel. This is quite difficult since the tape tears apart with the smallest pull or pressure. Make sure you've made the small cuts, so you can bend it in a round shape. Press onto the silverfoil to make the wrinkle equal. You're done!
