Interior inspiration
Yes, I definitely have a weak sport for scandinavian styled apartments. I really love the wooden floor and clean white walls. The use of raw and pure materials in combination with old details is just perfect! Then the mix of old and new furniture in combination with some great rugs and fresh flowers makes it look really homy. Wouldn't mind moving into this apartment, as in I would love to grab my stuff and move into it right now! What about you? xx

Interior decoration
Sorry for the lack of updates. As you probably saw at my Instagram, I'm in Berlin again. I didn't bring my camera so it's quite hard to update stuff. That's why I made an interior decoration wish list for you guys. I'll be back in Holland by sunday evening so next week I'll post some more! xx
House Doctor striped poof | PT dip dye vase | Cotton Ball lights white | Bloomingville Diamond sketch | Ikea Stockholm graphic pillow | Savon de Marseille olive soap | La Finesse graphic bug poster | Bloomingville concrete decoration | Bloomingville clear vase

Weekly: Housewarming
Last Sunday we had our housewarming party because we moved to a new house two months ago. In those two months we did a lot of building (demolishing the old kitchen, stripping the whole place, letting my uncles re-installing the piping, plastering the walls and placing a new kitchen), sanding, painting, refurnishing etc. Finally we had everything sort of in place and it started to look like a real home, so we decided to celebrate that fact by giving a housewarming party. What are you looking at?
1. We got lots of great gifts to decorate our new home with. My cousin is very creative and has her own shop where she sells items she has made and items she has smartened up. My mother gave me another marble house from Bloomingville, my grandmother gave us candles and my aunt gave me money so we could buy something ourselves and she also gave us a little packet with a towel and nature soap.
2. Beautiful flowers and a wooden spoon which had a gift card for Cook&co tied to it.
3 & 4. Lots of cards with lovely words, gift cards and money. Sometimes even accompanied by beautiful flowers!
5. The Hema gift cards we got from our aunt and uncle have already been spent ;) We bought two new pillows with graphic patterns in grey tones.
6. More gifts, cards and a delicious pie assortment from the famous bakery Koekela in Rotterdam.
Thank you everyone for coming and of course for everything you brought with you (which was totally unnecessary, but also really sweet). xx

Christmas Decoration
Love some Christmas decoration when it's not too corny. I love the glass decoration in front of the window and the simple decoration in the branches. Have you fully decorated your house yet? xx

Sinterklaas wishlist
A small wishlist for the Dutch Sinterklaas festivities coming weekend. I have been busy packing gifts for family and friends today. While packing al those items I thought about the things I would like to get this weekend; underneath the Christmas tree or buy myself. What about the amazing Ikea cow print pouf, extremely large Ikea chandelier, flower shaped Asos earrings or gorgeous knitted mittens from Whistles. Have you ever seen the popular Proenza Schouler PS11 in this amazing camouflage print? (Ok I admit the cow print pouf and the PS11 aren't really in the right price range, but I couldn't resist putting them on my wishlist.) We're also looking for some old fashion cutlery. Since we are discussing kitchen stuff what about a white wooden Ikea stool or fun storage solutions like the wooden house shaped display boxes. Can't wait ;) xx

Bloomingville
Recently I came across the Danish interior brand Bloomingville. I just love their items! It's a quirky mix of vintage inspired items and items with a minimal approach. Many of these items would be perfect for your Christmas wishlist or you could just buy them yourself. What about these wooden houses, the square sushi plates and I wouldn't say no to this copper diamond shaped lamp either. How cute are their vases, for instance the geometric white one, the porcelain gun or a little colored one. When our home is finished and it's time to decorate, I'll definitely buy some Bloomingville items! xx

Interior inspiration
I just love searching for home inspiration. I mean how amazing are these homes! I love both clean minimalism and some oriental influences in a home. Our new home is slowly starting to get some shape and I can tell you we have used gallons of white paint, lots of wood and a lot stainless steel! xx

Home Inspiration
Since I'm in the middle of moving and decorating our new home I could definitely use a bit of inspiration. There are so many webstores that are specialized in selling amazing home stuff that I'm starting to lose my mind ;) Hopefully I will win the lottery coming month so we can afford all the amazing items I've found online. Then we can certainly create something like the above photos. Fingers crossed! Are you planning on redecorating your home? xx

What are you looking at?
1. A few of the at John Beerens available CHI products, I'm a loyal user of the CHI keratin products (white bottles with golden cap). I especially like the silk infuser!
2 & 3. Went to the Intratuin to buy a few plants, I ended up buying different vases and mountain grass. I'm wearing an Isabel Marant short sleeved sweatshirt, a necklace from COS and a leather bag by Zara.
4. Beautiful deep red velvety roses in the shop.
5. I'm a huge fan of blue/lilac hydrangeas, unfortunately we don't have a garden or balcony (yet).

Home Inspiration
We still don't know for sure if we do get our new house but it's starting to look like it! There is finally some progress in the whole buying process. In the meantime I'm trying to soak up as much inspiration as possible. I'm struck between two extremes, I love a minimal approach but I'm also into the whole vintage/second hand thing. xx

New furniture
A few days ago I bought these lovely pieces from my niece. She has her on shop called Home@ssorti, where she sells articles she redesigned or polished. You can also find perfect gift items like soap, cards, perfume bottles and many more. I think I'm going to use the small drawer to store ribbons and other sewing stuff. The little table/stool is perfect to keep plants. What do you think of these new items? xx

What are you looking at?
1. The beautiful furniture store Moetkunsten in Arnhem, they sell both vintage and new furniture (think brands like Eames, Panton and Willy van der Meeren).
2. Even after being together for five years I still learned something new about Mart, he had never eaten a 'bolus' (don't know how to call it in English).
3 & 4. Panty sculpture in Moetkunsten. It's made by Madeleine Berkhemer as part of the Arnhem Mode Biƫnnale -MoBA '13- which theme is Fetishism.
5. The amazing cat tree I told you about earlier, I'm pretty sure that Coco and Pluis would love this.
6. Steak tartar with tomato soup. With an avocado, red union, tomatoes and homemade honey-mustard dressing sandwich.
How was your week? xx
