When in Brussels

On monday it was Kingsday here in Holland. Since I decided to not attend the festivities I opted it was best to go abroad. So we went to Brussels for the day. We didn't really have a schedule or so, we just wandered around a bit, enjoyed the sunny weather, ate a waffle, had some beers in a nice pub, visited nice stores and finished the day with dinner in the city.

For those that haven't been there yet, you should definitely go to the Grote Markt because you will be impressed by the amazing architecture with all the golden details on the buildings. If you want to have a nice dinner, please leave the Grote Markt and go to the Vismarkt (the fishmarket), there are plenty of cozy restaurants. The Sint-Katelijne church is worth a visit as well and if you go to the Zavelwijk (le Sablon area) you can buy some macarons at Ladurée and enjoy the old buildings.

For the Dutchies, how was your Kingsday? xx

Trial and Error

Doing what I do best: capturing the moment and failing in uploading it on Instagram. Don't what I did wrong but somehow I managed to NOT upload the photo until I was back on wifi at the hotel. Luckily it worked again the next day, resulting in many photos on Instagram (@heritagemode.

Am Neuen Palais

Yesterday we arrived in Germany and before going to our hotel in Berlin Mitte we made a stop at the Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. These photos are taken at the New Palace in the park, close to the famous Prussian Sanssouci castle. Sanssouci, Am Neuen Palais, Potsdam.

Unfortunately the weather was a bit depressing, we've had rain all day. Luckily I brought my raincoat so at least my outfit underneath stays in shape. btw, I really have no idea what I was doing in the last photo, dancing maybe?... xx

Nudes

What I was wearing the other day. This wall works so well on photos, really love its structure. Wearing one of my favorite coats, really love the length of it. Also wearing my newest black shoes, bought them some months ago already but never really wore them. What do you think? xx

Trenchcoat weather

An autumn look for you guys. It's definitely trenchcoat weather at the moment, so here an outfit post! It's getting more difficult to take outfit photos again because it's starting to get dark at five already. I now have to plan it on those rare times that we are both available during the afternoon.

I'm wearing a thick sturdy trenchcoat, my favorite oversized chambray shirt, vintage high waisted levi's jeans, patent leather booties and my trusty leather bag.

A walk in the park

Topcoat and lining: thrifted Burberry | Neon hoodie: Thrifted | Jeans: thrifted Levi's | Sneakers: All Stars | Scarf: Scotch & Soda | Hat: knitted by Mom

We went out for a two hour walk in park Sonsbeek and Zijpendaal in Arnhem. Because it was really cold again, we dressed up in thick windproof clothing. I know I look like a nomad but an outfit like this is perfect for such occasions and we don't have to dress up fancy everyday, do we? Btw I totally love the building in the background, it's my dream house and I try to go there as often as I can. To get familiar with my future land, haha just kidding ;)
