What to wear in September?

Drizzly weather... sunshine, cold windy mornings... suffocating afternoons. The weather has been completely crazy these past few weeks. We have had days during which temperatures rose to a tropical 31 degrees. Not our typical Dutch weather.. However we have also had rain and thunder, something that somehow always seems to follow up warm summery days.

Every morning the big question is: what to wear today? I find it quite difficult to dress up for these weird days. In the morning a jacket or sweater is needed, yet in the afternoon, at the end of the day, all you really need is a bikini. Since that is not really an option I prefer linen joggers, sneakers and a sweater with a plain tee underneath. What do you wear when the weather is unpredictable like this?

Bye for now! xx

P.S. So much has happened over the past months. I was busy finishing both Masters (and succeeded in doing so, yeah!), I created a book about the future of retail for my project Glocal Stories, celebrated two weeks of freedom after which I started as Junior PR Consultant at FNKE. Exciting times!!

Sunny Winter Weather

What I was wearing last Thursday. Love these cropped linen trousers, in fact I even bought a second pair because I was afraid that I would never find a replacement (+ they are very nicely priced). I paired them with my newest coat addition, a black one from COS that I bought in Aarhus. Enjoy your weekend, xx

Autumn Sun

Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm really busy lately! Doing two masters while also working parttime turns out to be rather time-consuming ;-) Plus blogging is getting harder because it is getting dark quite early nowadays which makes it hard to take photos. Luckily - after some rainy weeks - we've had some lovely sunny weather these past days so I managed to take some outfit photos for you. xx

Peugeot Single Speed

Last week I took my bike to the work and my colleague took some photos of it! Not sure if I ever told you, but I work at a photo studio so it made sense to take some personal photos. Last year I pimped this old bike and I'm really happy with the result. We had a lot of fun shooting these because I wanted some photos where I was really biking which turned out to be quite hard (not because I cannot bike, but because of the small space ;-) What do you think of the result and do you like my bike, I know I do!

Furthermore I'm wearing my new favourite sweater from the Danish ADPT. together with my trusty black Acne jeans. Below two more photos (with voluminous hair)! xx

Sunny Copenhagen

Here some photos from a short trip to Copenhagen. Would love to go back asap, I always want to spend more time in that lovely city. Maybe I should go there after finishing my studies, what do you think? xx

New in ADPT.

A few blogposts ago I already showed you some photos of the ADPT. showroom in Brande, Denmark and here are the items I brought home. As you can see in the photos above, I got a new grey sweat (a girl can never have too many comfy sweats right?!) and also a new denim shirt/jacket for my ever-growing denim collection. They are both of really thick quality and perfect for the colder days that are about to come.

In the looks above you can see how the guys at ADPT. styled the items for the coming winter collection - including many amazing jackets. Below you can see how I intend to wear the grey sweater, I already ordered a pair of dungarees so hopefully they'll fit and then I just have to wait till the baby blue coat is available.

Btw. I bought those black leather loafers last week and that means that I can finally tick them off my wishlist. Ever since seeing those studded Zara loafers two years ago I've been looking for a pair (the Zara ones were sold-out before I got the chance to grab a pair). Do you like the brand ADPT.? xx

Summer in Oslo

Obviously these photos were taken during my holiday two weeks ago, wish it was now though. In the first and second last photo you can see the beautiful Opera House in Oslo. It was a really modern building especially in comparison to its surrounding and therefore it really stood out. Loved the glass windows and the fact that one is able to walk on top of the building where there is an amazing view over the Oslofjord.

Apart from the Opera House we didn't really like the city centre itself. But the areas around the city centre had some amazing buildings - as photographed - and also more inspiring stores. The harbor area was also pretty nice. We stayed at the Lysebu hotel located in the uphill area called Holmenkollen where you can easily take the metro to the city centre. Have you ever visited Oslo? xx

Acne Parachute Parka

Yesterday in Amsterdam, where it was quite sunny every now and then. Spent the morning in a meeting and ran some errands afterwards. Afterwards I quickly went to the second hand stores and bought a few new [to me] tops for summer. xx

Vintage Lace and Quilted Docs

These photos are taken a little while ago, when I was paying a visit to the old Olympic Village just outside Berlin. Totally forgot about them, but luckily I'm sharing them now.

This is one of my favorite combinations to wear: a vintage lace dress with a cropped sweater on top of it. Black on Black on Black. Paired with my leather trousers and quilted Doctor Martens it has just the right amount of femininity and grunge. What do you think? And how do you like this amazing location?! xx
