What to wear in September?

Drizzly weather... sunshine, cold windy mornings... suffocating afternoons. The weather has been completely crazy these past few weeks. We have had days during which temperatures rose to a tropical 31 degrees. Not our typical Dutch weather.. However we have also had rain and thunder, something that somehow always seems to follow up warm summery days. 

Every morning the big question is: what to wear today? I find it quite difficult to dress up for these weird days. In the morning a jacket or sweater is needed, yet in the afternoon, at the end of the day, all you really need is a bikini. Since that is not really an option I prefer linen joggers, sneakers and a sweater with a plain tee underneath. What do you wear when the weather is unpredictable like this?

P.S. So much has happened over the past months. I was busy finishing both Masters (and succeeded in doing so, yeah!), I created a book about the future of retail for my project Glocal Stories, celebrated two weeks of freedom after which I started as Junior PR Consultant at FNKE. Exciting times!!

Late Night Tours on my Single-Speed

Say hi to my new pimped single-speed racing bike. Well actually it's not really a new one, it's an oldie but we re-styled it. It's an old Peugeot ladies racing bike. We took off the gears, replaced the rims with new aluminium lightweight ones and taped the steering wheel with black cotton.

But I personally think that the best part is the Wald wire basket in front. It is perfect when you are cruising through the city and have to take groceries, packages and your bag back home. What do you think of the result? xx

Spring and Shoulder-pads

Here an outfit from last week. The weather allows it to wear leather jackets again so I decided to take this vintage eighties jacket out. Shoulder-pads it is! And also, I'm wearing vintage Air Max sneakers that I got as a gift a while ago. These are my second pair, I only have my Nike Free Running ones, so I'm really not a sneaker person. It's nice to finally have a not sporty pair though!

I Love that it is still bright enough to take photos after work and that spring is showing some first signs. That is why I couldn't resist to take the obliged 'under the blossom tree' outfit photos! xx

New running gear

Bought a new running jacket/sweatshirt last week. Here in Arnhem we have a specialized running store so naturally when I needed a new jacket I payed them a visit. Nike is my favorite brand when it comes to sport items, what brand do you prefer? xx

Summer at Nytorv in Copenhagen

Another serie of photos we took during my stay in Copenhagen. These photos were taken at the Nytorv, which is a square in the city center of Copenhagen. Around this area you can find shops of the big brands so it's the perfect place to go shopping.

Unexpected summer weather caused that I had to wear the same items over and over again. I wasn't prepared for so many hot days and that is why I brought more long jeans and long-sleeved tops than real summer stuff.

So here is one of my favorite combos, a lace black top with a white shirt collar and a pair of cut off Levi's. I only brought my Birkenstocks so I had no other sandal like shoes to wear, that is why I wore my Nike Running shoes a lot. xx

In front of Tivoli in the center of Copenhagen

What I was wearing on my first day in Copenhagen, playing tourist. Even though it is pretty hot over here it was okay to wear an all black ensemble. Being near to the sea makes that the heat often is pretty good because there is a lot of wind as well. Still there are some moments that the sun really is burning on my skin (and not in a good way).

I've already been in Denmark several times and I really like the city Århus, but after spending some more time in København (Copenhagen) I think I can add it to my list of great cities as well. xx

Nike Running

Gotta love my new running shoes! I was looking for a pair for quite some time, but didn't really know which ones to pick. In the end I decided to buy these Nike Free Running shoes. Do you have running shoes, if yes: which ones do you wear? xx

1. Inspiration time and I'm gonna have a bonsai tree, the cutting is in the water and is hopefully devoting its energy to root production ;)

4. Breakfast: croissants, tea and muesli-yoghurt.
5. Roses from my girls, we went out and had amazing dinner at tapas restaurant La Luna.

Nike Performance Running equipment

Within two weeks I hope to get started with running since I'm not doing anything right now. I guess if I need some motivation it would be some new stuff for running. I wouldn't mind running around head to toe in Nike Performance. Just everything from their Perfomance line is great and since I already own many Nike items I can tell from my own experience that the quality never disappoints. What do you wear when working out?
