Black Shoes

What should every girl need in her closet? Black leather shoes, lots of them. Thus I decided to show you guys my favourite ones and tell a bit more about each pair. All black, all leather, yet completely different. Here we go..

1. Next patent leather ankle booties. These boots are the ones I wear when my outfit seems a bit basic. Shiny black with a fun length and sturdy block heel always is a good idea.
2. Clarks. Desert boots are great and go with jeans, leather leggings and skirts, so the ultimate basic.
3. Fred de la Bretoniere lace-ups. Black lace-ups are easily worn with every outfit, but my ultimate favourite combination is with suit pants, as seen here.
4. Acne booties, 12 cm sturdy heels in which you can walk all day. Gotta love Acne booties! In addition they are just beautiful because of the buttery leather and nice cut
5. Topshop fringed loafers. Bought these ones a while ago but since the weather is quite terrible I haven't had the chance to wear them yet. However they are obviously great for spring and summer, let's just hope that they aren't only good looking but that they are comfy as well.
6. Deena & Ozzy nubuck leather chelsea booties. Love the heel height and the matte black leather, they are quite anonymous (can you say that about shoes?), so if you have a nice top, jacket or skirt they don't steal the show.

What do you think? What kind of shoes are essential for you? xx

Lika Mimika metallic leather espadrilles

Well hello new summer shoes! Sold old sandals I don't wear often enough and ordered a new pair of summer shoes. These classic leather espadrilles are a welcome addition to my collection of booties and sandals, finally something in-between.

These silver metallic beauties are from the German brand Lika Mimika and are handmade in Spain. I really like the metallic leather and even though they are really really shiny I think I will wear them a lot. Do you like them? xx

Vagabond Flatforms

Something entirely new: sneakers. I have been looking for a decent pair of white flatform sneakers for a while now but somehow it was quite a challenge to find them. When I was in Berlin last month, we drove past the Arthur McGlen outlet and it was there that I bought those sneakers. They are from the Swedish brand Vagabond and I like the old-school style of these canvas shoes. I think they are perfect for spring and summer! xx

P.S. Now I'm going to eat the cake I baked earlier today (see Instagram @heritagemode) because it is my boyfriend's birthday!!

New in: Black leather Clarks

Bought new black shoes last week. Together with Mart I went to the city centre and we saw these beauties at the Invito store. Finally a new pair Clarks, in black leather! I've been waiting for them to hit the stores for a while now. They've always only sold the black ones in suede, but since this season they finally offer them in black leather as well. Shop them here. What do you think of them? xx

New in: Fred de la Bretoniere lace ups

Bought these new shoes a few weeks ago. I've been looking for flat black shoes for something like two years, I'm not kidding! I could find nice ankle boots all the time, but I wanted flats. Somehow it turned out to be quite hard to find a decent looking pair with a good fit.

I found them at Fred de la Bretoniere, a Dutch shoe brand with a wide range of leather goods. Their leather is of amazing quality so I think these shoes will last for some time ;) For those familiar with the brand Shabbies, it's from the same company! I've selected more nice shoes:

Zara Sandals

How amazing are these black leather beauties?! I was just scrolling through the shoe section on Zara.com and I came across these sandals. Perfect heel hight, good mixture of girly and sturdy, black real leather and of course silver hardware. Buy yourself a pair to be summer ready :-)

Meet Coralie

Say hi to my new Dr. Martens Coralie boots. Have been looking for a new pair for a while but didn't know which ones to buy. For about two years ago I bought a violet pair with yellow stitches but they turned out quite difficult to wear because of the strange color ;) So this time I decided to go for an all black pair, a quilted pair that is! Do you like Dr. Martens? Have a good weekend! xx

Shabbies wishlist

Shabbies Amsterdam wishlist. Love the whole collection that is available through both De Bijenkorf and Vimodos. As you guys know I'm the proud owner of several pairs of high shafted Shabbies, but seeing the heeled and shorter versions makes me want another pair. Shabbies is a Dutch brand that is part of the bigger brand Fred de la Bretonière. I love the sturdy leather and simple designs, they are also really comfortable due to the sole. Buy all Shabbies stated above at Vimodos. If you could pick one, which ones would it be?

xx
