New in: Hand care
New in: Aesop hand cream and HAY wooden hand (well I already had that one for some months, but never showed it to you guys). Due to the cold weather my hands were in need of some nourishing cream, so that is why I decided to go on the hunt for a new hand cream: easier said than done!
This Aesop hand cream turned out to be perfect because it was one of the only creams that isn't too smelly. 'Smelly' sounds rather negative I know, but I often have the feeling that the added scent to creams is really artificial and too in your face. That is why I was happy to find out that this cream has quite a subtle scent to it. Furthermore it comes in a nice packaging in the ideal size that perfectly fits into your everyday bag.
Which Aesop product is your favorite? xx

Restore: Beauty products
Somehow I always manage to have many make-up products empty at the same time. Again this month. My perfume, mascara, pressed powder and white eyeshadow needed a replacement. The only benefit is that it is nice to have all products in their best shape again! xx

Beauty product dry shampoo
Let's talk some beauty products. What about dry shampoo?
I was so happy after trying this product for the first time some years ago. It's amazing, I guess more blondes (maybe brunettes as well) can relate to the sort of greasy feeling of hair the day after washing it. Turned out that dry shampoo is the perfect solution to this problem!
What brand is your favorite? Any specific version, like the Batiste XXL volume, the Original or maybe one from Andrélon or Kérastase. xx

What I brought home from Berlin
After spending so many months in the always amazing Berlin, I - of course - brought a lot of stuff home. Some books, magazines, almond body scrub, body butter, post cards, chocolate and nail polishes. Now I just have to find the time to read, eat and treat myself ;-) xx

Smokey eye inspiration
I think my Christmas make up will be inspired by these smokey eyes! OK, the Chanel lace and the glitter one are definitely a bit over the top. But a pair of good smokey eyes can do no wrong, although I would rather go for a more subtle version. Are you opting for a party look this year? xx

1001 flies and extensions
Hi guys, I can hear you thinking '1001 flies and extensions, what?!' Well let me explain, the first three photos are made today on a little biking trip. I really like spending some time on my bike, but I hate hate hate all these stupid flies. I probably ate 10 flies today and had to wipe 1001 flies of my face ;)
Then the other three photos are of the extensions I received from 1001extensions. A while ago they asked me to review a set of their extensions and since I've never had extensions I agreed to try them out. I really like that their extensions are made of real human hair and are available in many colors. I found the perfect color, it really matches with my own hair color.
They are easy to add because of the clips, they even added three extra clips. The only problem is the thickness, they told me that if I had thick hair I should tell so I would receive two packages, but I thought my hair was normal. So I can really recommend everyone to order two packages because as you can see one isn't enough ;)

What are you looking at?
1. Refill of my beloved compact powder; Chanel Vitalumiere Éclat compact powder.
2. Risotto with bacon, peas, leek and may herbs.
3. Another photo from the easy laid-back look I showed you earlier this week.
4. Got a package delivered at my door from Farouk Systems. I'm really happy with these Biosilk summer products. Perfect to take my silk treatment with me when on holiday.
5. More food of this week, noodles, beans and vega meatballs (kinda contradictory).
6. New buys: a long sheer HM Trend skirt, a HM Trend cotton lace sweater and last but not least this Scotch & Soda denim look mens shirt which I got from Mart.
xx
P.S. I didn't dye my hair platinum blonde, because my hair is too dark to turn in such a light tone at once without using bleach. When I use a light blonde dye like this one, it will brighten my hair a bit so it will look more summer proof!

Skincare

Followers know that I'm not really a person that has certain beauty rituals, but of course I do use a few products to keep my skin in good condition. Luckily my skin is very normal and I'm not often having problems with it. I do have a sensitive skin though, probably since the fathers side of my family is red haired. But when I don't use aggressive products, there isn't a lot I have to take care of. Every now and then I use the Nivea cleansing gel to make sure I don't get blackheads and uneven spots. Every night before going to bed I use Estée Lauder Advanced night repair and the Eye Repair. My favorite hand cream is from Kruidvat and I use Purol around ten times a day to keep my lips soft and hydrated. What do you do to take care of your skin?

Sheer blonde go blonder
Although the insiders tip from John Frieda. A while ago I already showed you these products (and photos) and since a couple of weeks passed I can give you my opinion about them. You probably remember that I dip-died my hair, but because I used highlight powder my ends turned a bit yellowish. That's why I bought the John Frieda go Blonde conditioner, it promises turning your hair into a beautiful blonde shade. And I can tell you, it really works! Using this conditioner also made me realize that I still like light blonde hair (I've died my hair in a white blonde shade before). So I guess in a few weeks I will go blonder! What hair products do you use?

Neon eyeliner for my first blog birthday
Exactly 1 year, 2 fashionable seasons, 12 months, 105 Facebook likes, 111 outfit posts, 230 Bloglovin' followers, 351 posts, 4081 comments and 30446 unique visitors. Exactly one year ago I decided to demand a little space in the big online world and created my own blog. When I started I had no idea if I would like blogging just as much as reading blogs. It turned out to be a great experience and I still enjoy it every day. There are always days that I'm not really feeling like posting something because I don't know what to post. But that happens quite rarely and that's just because I want to post stuff that you guys like to read. So feel free to tell me what you do and don't like or what you would like to see more often. I really appreciate all your comments and questions, without you Heritage Mode wouldn't be what it is today! So a big thank you to all my dear readers and I hope we will continue this journey together!
Of course I bought myself a birthday cake to celebrate and I also shot some outfit photos with my special birthday make-up: orange neon eyeliner. So thank you again for all the love and support!

Purple Sides Part 2
Ph, Private
As promised two more looks with purple sides. The first look is a bit more rock-star with smokey eyes. The second one is more or less a color bomb; purple in my hair, bronze on my eyes and vibrant red lips. For my hair I used some bobby-pins and Elnett hairspray.
How to:
The basis for this look again consist out the YSL Touche Éclat, Chanel Perfection Lumière foundation and Chanel Vitalumière Éclat Compact powder.
-Put Chanel Ombre Essentiele nr. 45 Safari all over your eyelid.
-Create depth by using Chanel Ombre Contrast Duo (black and white).
-Use the eyeliners out the La Ligne de Chanel kit, both the smudgy and graphic ones.
-Finish your look with some mascara (Chanel Inimitable Intense).
Ph, Private
How to:
The same basis as the first look.
-Use a bronze colored eye-shadow to set your temples and eyelids (MAC Amber Lights and Chanel Ombre Essentiele nr.45 Safari).
-Highlight your eyebrows and the inner corners of you eyes, I used Chanel Ombre Essentiele nr.60 Ivory.
-Sharpen your cheekbones with a bronzer (Soleil Tan de Chanel).
-Put on a lipstick in a vibrant reddish shade, I used both Chanel Rouge Allure nr.98 Coromandel and MAC Viva Glam.
xx
