Piping 2.0: new closet

Some weeks ago I finally ordered all the materials I needed to make a new (hanging) closet. I spent so many hours online to find a closet that offered me all the space I need, looked nice and wasn't too expensive. It turned out that such a closet either doesn't exist or I just couldn't find it. Anyhow, I decided that it was probably better if I just made my own closet and that is what I did.

What I used:
(lightweight) aluminium pipes and alu fastenings to install the whole construction.

The good thing is that you can use the exact space you have. My problem was that the wall has a width of 297 cm and that most closets are either 200 or 300 centimeter wide. Now i could fully use the width of the room. I guess we can call this piping 2.0. :) What kinda closet do you have? xx

PS. Yes I really installed it myself.

Closet Confessions: leather love

A while ago I showed you my collection of thrifted jackets and now I'm sharing my love for leather. I'm a real purist when it comes to leather items. I never buy fake leather jackets, skirts, trousers or bags. I just don't buy fake leather at all, because I don't like the feel of it. In my opinion there are many good alternatives for fake leather. I mean if you cannot afford a leather biker jacket or aren't into real leather then there are many pretty cotton biker jackets as well. How do you feel about leather, an addict like me? xx

Closet Confessions: Thrifted Jackets

Like the title of this post says: I have some confessions to make. As you can see I own loooots of thrifted jackets. Never noticed it before though. When my boyfriend commented about how many jackets I had I started counting and just then I realized that there so many jackets hanging on my rack. So I thought I will filter everything and throw all other stuff out so that only the thrifted jackets are left. Then I took these photos.

Let me explain the huge amount of jackets. I've worked in a second hand shop for about two years. So basically all I saw when I was working were racks full of amazing items. That's how all these beauties ended in my closet! (Yup, these are only the jackets that are bought second handed, let's not start about thrifted coats or newly bought jackets...;)
