Summer inspiration from COS Magazine

With the rainy weather we have now I'm in desperate need of some summer inspiration. From mid-August I will have my holidays for two weeks and my summer mood is ruined due to the current 'weather situation' we have here in Holland. I thought what is better than looking for some summer inspiration online and sharing it with you. So here you go, beautiful images straight from the COS lookbook.

I guess I will start making a wishlist of holiday essentials now. Are you already in the summer mood? xx

Oona Welcome Days

Last week I went to the Oona Welcome Days with Mart. Loved how the temporary showroom looked; everything was nicely styled, they served some delicious bites and of course the newest collections looked great.

My favorites were the SS15 collections from Essentiel, River Island and Wolford. Wolford is perfect for the basics, everything is made from amazing quality and has the perfect cut. Essentiel is one of my favorites because of the nice fabrics they use and the embellishments on the items. I guess it is needless to say that River Island produces some nice items every season. xx

PFW My 5 favorite collections

Acne Studios SS15. Obviously in de top five, it is one of my favorite brands that shows at Paris Fashion Week. But truth to be told, last collection wasn't their best in my opinion but luckily this one is better again. I like the 'head to toe in one color' looks and of course the fabrics. I wouldn't really wear a whole sheer outfit, but it does look interesting. Those waistcoats look pretty interesting as well, perfect versatile pieces.

Saint Laurent SS15. I'm still not sure what to think of the collections Hedi Slimane is designing for Saint Laurent Paris. I do like that these new collections are more approachable for 'the average human' but I don't see the heritage of a fashion house in them. I do like the young and energetic vibe the collections clearly show, but it doesn't feel innovative to me.

Chloé SS15. A fresh, fun spring collection is always great. That is what I think when browse through images of the Chloé collection. Those light colors directly make me think of spring, blossoming flowers and a day at the beach. I would like to have one of these flowing dresses, but on the other hand, I would like a two piece made out of a nice denim or suede as well. I really like the neckline of those dresses and the color of the jumpsuit on the left.

Isabel Marant SS15. I'm not always wowed by the Isabel Marant collections, but I have to admit that this one is pretty good. That leather dress is definitely high on my wish list and I wouldn't say no to a pair of those sandals either. Furthermore I think the kimono shape of the white dress is great and I love the lengths of the shorts and dresses. The collections seems to be perfectly balanced, heavy tops are worn with plain shorts and delicate knitted tops are combined with fringe layered skirts.

Zadig and Voltaire SS15. The last collection I selected has a more minimal approach. I like how subtle the designs are, e.g. the lines on the black top return as side panels on soft black trousers. It is nice to see how many different variations of slouchy trousers they came up with. The white trainers and black pool slides work really well with the outfits too. If anyone knows where I can find a similar grayish top as the model in the middle photo is wearing, please do tell. What is your favorite? xx

Press Days SS15 Part 1

The showroom at Image PR was just moved to the Tolstraat in Amsterdam, where more PR agencies are located. Above some images I took while being there this past Tuesday. I really liked the decoration of their new office, cute candles, animal skull, feathers and nice framed prints. I of course also liked the new Ivy and Liv jewelry collection and what about the leather bag that the brand Dutch Basics will sell coming season.

Then I went to see the newest beauty items and eyewear collection at GLOW PR. How amazing are these Oliver Peoples sunnies?! I'm definitely going to try those ones to see if I can find a perfect pair for coming season. I also liked the Sisley products, because the items are just really great for your skin.

Last but not least, I went to the showroom of Maison PR. They are quite a big Agency so they have many many brands and I'm just showing a few images to give you an impression. I liked the shoes of the Sacha SS15 collection, nice fresh and perfect pastel colors. Lingerie in bright colors and beautiful feminine lace fabrics and cuts and the best are those amazing Marc Jacobs watches.

What do you think of the newest collections? xx
