DIY Crochet Top

 Ph, Private

What you'll need: A top with crochet upper and down parts, scissors, needle, sewing machine, pins.

1. Fold the uni middle part under the crochet trimming at the bottom of the top.
2. Pin the crochet from the bottom part to the crochet from the top part.
Mine needed some pleats at the front part, because the original top had a bit of an a-line.
3. Sew the bottom and top part together.
4. Use a needle to put the loose threads to the inside and tie off.
5. Cut off the additional fabric, the uni middle part, so just the two crochet parts will leave. The top I used is 100% silk, which is quit hard to sew in a straight line, so that's why I didn't cut the top in two pieces at first.
You can see the result in the first picture!

  7. I love what you did with this lace top, it looks very much like the granny underwear shirts worn at the beginning of last century. I saw many of these in antique markets during my holidays in the south of France.
