Things I can wear again this summer

 

Sometimes you remember wearing stuff the year before that would still be cool to wear right now. Like these mirrored sunnies, I wore them during last years trip to Lisbon in april (here). Or those beaded Aztec sandals, find them in this post (btw I ordered three pair at &Other Stories yesterday..., poor wallet). I DIY'ed this dip dye distressed denim jacket which I wore and still wear a lot, find the outfitpost here and the DIY post here. There is still nothing wrong with silver jewelry either. What about an earpiece, a pair of sexy heels or a silk jumpsuit?! Then of course I also wore many cropped tops, like this mint one (here). This is something I'm planning to do again this spring/summer, with bare midriff that is!

Apart from recycling items, I of course have a list with things I need (n-e-e-d, really) to add to my summer wardrobe.

Sunglasses for Summer

Every summer I start a search for the perfect pair of sunnies. Of course I already have a few, but there is nothing wrong with adding an extra pair. A while ago I stumbled onto the huge diverse collection from Le Specs available at Brandcatcher. They stock many sunnies of the Le Specs collection, but also clothing of other brands like Lee, Nike, New Balance, etc. I personally don't like spending too much money because of taxes and stuff. Brandcatcher is located in our neighbor country Germany so no import fees that is! I made a selection of the sunnies I like the best, which one is your favorite?

Neon eyeliner for my first blog birthday

Exactly 1 year, 2 fashionable seasons, 12 months, 105 Facebook likes, 111 outfit posts, 230 Bloglovin' followers, 351 posts, 4081 comments and 30446 unique visitors. Exactly one year ago I decided to demand a little space in the big online world and created my own blog. When I started I had no idea if I would like blogging just as much as reading blogs. It turned out to be a great experience and I still enjoy it every day. There are always days that I'm not really feeling like posting something because I don't know what to post. But that happens quite rarely and that's just because I want to post stuff that you guys like to read. So feel free to tell me what you do and don't like or what you would like to see more often. I really appreciate all your comments and questions, without you Heritage Mode wouldn't be what it is today! So a big thank you to all my dear readers and I hope we will continue this journey together!

Of course I bought myself a birthday cake to celebrate and I also shot some outfit photos with my special birthday make-up: orange neon eyeliner. So thank you again for all the love and support!

Fashion community Stylight

Stylight

A while ago I discovered the site Stylight. You can describe it as a sort of fashion community in which you can heart and style items you like. Preferable you can also directly buy them by clicking on the items, by linking you will appear on the corresponding webshop (Asos, Zalando, Luisaviaroma, to name a few ;). All articles from the online shops are available through Stylight. You can search by filtering on categories, brands, a shop, a color, a price, popularity, name it and it's possible. Apart from hearting the items you like, there is also the possibility to create fashion mood boards. Making a mood board is like creating a collage with your favorites, but you can also add your own photos, music, movies. So you can upload your own (outfit)photos and add similar items in the same mood board! Obviously you can also follow people that inspire you and vice versa. The whole site is really clear and well organized, i.e. a great concept!

Again THE flamingo sweater

Yesterdays outfit. Like the title says, again THE flamingo sweater. It's just a perfect comfortable yet fun sweater, the inside is so soft! I decided to wear it with my new boyfriend jeans from Zara, which I already showed you guys on Instagram (@heritagemode). I'm not really a big fan of boyfriend jeans because I think most of them aren't really flattering me. But I guess I do like these because of the cropped length en the feminine cut. What do you think?

What are you looking at?
It's already March, time is flying with all the collection presentations and shows that are popping up on style.com and vogue.co.uk. Love to watch the shows and when I do, I'm totally absorbed and forget every aspect of time. Apparently a whole week passed since the start of PFW ;).

1. Bought a new book: Illustration no. 3. Love to watch drawings from artists, flipping pages and find the most interesting stuff in there. I, of course, directly visited the websites of the ones I liked the best.
2&3. Went to my parents last weekend and they had some pretty delicious petit fours!
4&5. More photos of my vintage shoes I already showed you in my last outfit post, see it here.
6. Making a fruit salad.

Paris Fashion Week Part 1

Balenciaga: boxy shapes, all black, painted sweaters, cut-outs, silver details and cleavage shoes.

Balmain: eighties, powersuits, squared shoulders, boot/trousers onepieces, silver and graphic embossings.

Isabel Marant: layers, lammy coats, studs, cut outs, all white ensemble, leather and strapped wedge boots.

Love the above collections, but especially the details. Alexander did a great job for his debut at Balenciaga, love the latex painted sweaters. The Balmain collection is just great because it's so much fun, a eighties futuristic collection with lots of metallic blazers and dresses with deep decollete. And then the Isabel Marant collection, I do like the studded items and the idea of layering three or four thin tops, but overall it's a bit boring. The strapped wedge booties are great though, if you ask me that is.
