England # 9 Leeds Castle

Ph, Private

Lace top: Vintage | Trousers: Dept | Belt: Scotch & Soda | Boots: Acne | Bag: COS | Necklace: COS

On our last day in England we visited Leeds castle, one hour drive from London (going south-east). What a lovely castle is that, almost all rooms are open for public. They really have done a great job to personalize (is that a word..) the different rooms with tiny objects. You really get the feeling that there is still someone living. Loved the library and dinning-room.

While visiting the castle I was wearing a vintage fifties lace top. I really love the high neckline on this top, but the best part is the button closure on the backside. There was also a great garden/park attached to the castle with the most diverse and extraordinary trees.

But I managed to select the items I liked the most. Some of these articles aren't in the store yet, but by browsing through the magazine you can feel a bit of the vibe already.

What I was eating the other day. A delicious quiche and we made ourselves an Italian platter. I just love Spinata Romana,Coppa di Parma, mozzarella with tomatoes and of course finished with some oil, herbs and pesto.

England #8 Fleet

Ph, Private

Early morning we left our hotel to shop at the designer outlet which is located in Swindon as well. After a morning full shopping (Mart bought so much more than me, men...). Since we hadn't seen any other tourists during our stay in England so far, we decided to visit the Stonehenge near Marlborough. Such a pity, it was unbelievably crowed, the parking lot crammed with tourists. I really like ancient buildings, ruins and other things concerning our history, but this was just terrible. There were so many people gathered around the fences placed around the stones.

I don't like such a crowded places. If I take photos of ancient buildings, I try to take them without anyone on it. I just keep waiting and waiting till everybody is out of sight. I didn't even try this at the Stonehenge. If you're thinking about visiting the stones, well just don't. It's nothing more than these stones with some fences. Well apart from our meaningless visit to the Stonehenge we had a lovely day which ended with great food and a lovely hotel-suite in Fleet.

England #7 South West

After visiting the beautiful Wales area, we went to see the gorgeous Georgian style village Bath. What a beautiful buildings, absolutely stunning. I was wearing my beloved Acne shoes, an amazing vintage lace dress, Dept leather jacket and leather bag from Cos. I really can recommend visiting this city if you are in the neighborhood. After a wonderful day we went to our Village leisure hotel in Swindon, another thing I can fully recommend!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

England #6 South Wales

Some pictures of the rest of our Wales tour! These are all taken in the neighborhood of the Snowdonia mountain area (with the Snowdon as highest mountain, 1085 mtr.) I tried to feed a hairy cow, but apparently she didn't like my apple (I took the bite myself). I love the sort of fairytale-like views you find just around every corner, what a lovely environment.

Have a good weekend!
