Tea Time

Ph, Private

Jacket: Humanoid | Tee: American Apparel | Nail polish: Koh

Sorry for the inside photos, but it has been raining cats and dogs the last few days. Except from a couple of sunny hours, when I was at University. So you have to do it with these shots. I wanted to show my new jacket, which is fabulous. I love the color and the material, it's a sort of stiff but still soft woven fabric. It has a boxy shape with at the back an elastic waistline (like a bomberjacket). I hope I'll soon be able to shoot some better photos wearing this jacket.

I didn't expect to drink tea during summer time, I like drinking tea when the temperatures are low. So I had the pleasure of drinking tea a few more days. I hope though that coming week will be to sunny to drink it, we shall see.

Diesel Black Gold

Ph, Style

Diesel Black Gold Resort 2013 collection.

How amazing is the Resort 2013 collection from Diesel Black Gold. I've never been the biggest fan of Diesel, but I honestly have to admit that I think they've booked a lot of progress in the last five years. For the first time I like almost everything they've showed.

Starting at the top.
1.How cool is that taupe/beige vest, I think it's made from a sort of neoprene material. Love the stiff look. Those trousers have a really cool print, not to graphic, just perfect.
2. Simple but flawless dress.
3. Love the minimalistic clean upper-part in comparison with those bold trousers.
4. Leather and blue = fab.
5. Such a sweet candy colored baseball jacket.
6. Love the sheer panel, looks like a dress cut into two pieces with an extra panel of sheer fabric inbetween.
7. That long layer underneath that leather biker jacket looks amazing.
8. Wish I owned this outfit, top to bottom!
9. How cute is the short/cropped trenchcoat.
10. Leather trousers, always great. But those accessories, the shoes and bags are wonderful as well!

Can't wait till these items hit the stores! Definitely going to check these out,

Leather & Cinema

Ph, Private

Denim Jacket: DIY | Sweat shirt: Isabel Marant | Leather trousers: Humanoid | Scarf: vintage Dior
Necklace: DIY | Canvas tote: Maison Scotch | Shoes: Clark Originals | Cap: Bijenkorf

Yesterday after I was done at the University my boyfriend came to Amsterdam and we did a little shopping. Afterwards we went to the Tuschinski cinema, oh god I love that beautiful Art Deco building. We watched the movie On the Road, which turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. Anyhow we had a great day!

I'm in love with my new oxblood colored leather trousers. I'm so happy I finally found the perfect ones, made of buttery soft leather! I made this necklace by simply adding these tassels to simple necklaces I already had.

DIY Sleeveless Denim Jacket

Ph, Private

You'll need: A denim jacket, scissors, needle, thread, seam ripper, tape-measure.

1. Cut off the sleeves, leave a cm space at the seams. Take the cuffs of the sleeves, you'll need them to add as epaulette.
2. Fringe the edges (the one cm extra you left while cutting of the sleeves), by using a needle.
3. Make buttonholes at the shoulders (meassure both sides to have your epaulettes symetric) by using a seam ripper. Stich the edges so I will not fray. You can do this with a sewing machine (If it contains a button hole function) or by hand, which I prefer.
4. Add the epaulettes, buttons from the inside through your selfmade buttonhole and fold it over, Done!

Do you like it?

Weekly

What are you looking at?
1. Today I attended the Humanoid super stock sale in Arnhem. I was there at 8.30 this morning, reaaaaly early. They sold racks full of great stuff, I found these two amazing Humanoid trousers made of the softest leather imaginable. I've already been the proud owner of a pair black leather trousers for two years now, but was really anxious to buy another pair. Never found the perfect ones though. I've been searching for a while for a beautiful slimfit clean oxblood version, today I found them. I also chose to add the black version to my closet, nothing wrong with another pair of black trousers.
2. Eaten delicious tricolore macaroni this evening. The perfect meal with rucola, mushrooms, tomatoes and Parmesan cheese.
3. The little herb garden from my mother-in-law.
4. BBQ at the beginning of this week. Wish we had the weather we had back then at this moment as well.
5. The other articles I bought this morning at the Stock sale. A boxy-fitted woolen winter jacket form Etoile by Isabel Marant. A beautiful long sleeved bouclè jacket with zipper closure from Humanoid. Short sleeved sweatshirt from Isabel Marant which is an instant favorite item. All together I have bought five great items. I love sales!
6. Fresh fruit dessert!

Mint Lace

Ph, Private

Denim jacket: DIY | Lace top: Thrifted | Leotard: H&M | Jeans: Vintage | Shoes: Supertrash | Necklaces: Random

I was wearing this mint lace top today, which I totally adore! I combined it with one of my favorite jeans and an animal printed leotard. After work we went out to grab some dinner in town.

Tomorrow I have to work, first Sunday of the month, duty calls. In the morning I will first attend a super stock sale from Humanoid. I'll try to be there at 8.00AM to see if there are any great (Isabel Marant, Acne, Alexander Wang and many more) items left. We shall see, wish me luck!

Ori and Vogue

Ph, Private

A wishlist like the one I made a couple of days ago aren't just for you, but also for me. It helps me in making decisions about what to buy and what not. So, last week I've ordered these amazing Miista Ori sandals. I really love them, they are really beautiful and comfortable. The cut-out leather is just fine and perfect, a great piece of craftsmanship. Get those beauties yourself here.

Today I also bought the new Vogue collections AW2012. I love the fact that you have every detail in just one magazine (well it's more a small book). So happy inspiration to me! I'm now going to cut my boyfriends hair, so have to go! Have a nice weekend!
